On Friday, February 21, 2020, Keno Kozie presented to a sold-out crowd at ILTA’s O365 Symposium, which took place at the Microsoft Technology Center in Chicago. The day-and-a-half event was designed to provide insights for attendees on how to successfully plan for, implement, and administer Office 365 in their law firm or organization, including advice on what processes to consider and what challenges might impact the implementation process.

During Keno Kozie’s Friday afternoon presentation, entitled “Showcase: Exchange Online,” Keno Kozie managing directors Eli Nussbaum and Sue Keno were joined by Joe Dombrowski, information technology manager at HMB Legal Counsel to provide advice and information on the benefits of O365 and how to prepare for migration.

The packed room was full of a diverse group of people who played a variety of different roles within their organizations, many of which had not yet migrated to O365. Attendees included leaders in IT, firm administrators, and others at all levels of legal technology administration. Keno Kozie’s experts offered attendees valuable tips to help with the vetting and decision-making processes involved in migrating to O365 and highlighted why firms should seriously consider migrating to O365 if they hadn’t already done so.

Microsoft Office 365 offers users a wide range of benefits in terms of functionality, security, cost of ownership, and much more. Through Exchange Online, users can enjoy a simplicity and ease of use that no other email system can rival, thanks to convenient, fast, and intuitive email controls.

In a world where security is paramount, Exchange Online offers a powerful spam filter and other tools that actively monitor for and fight against harmful viruses and malware. O365 gives users robust data security that’s critical in the face of today’s ever-evolving cybersecurity threats, protecting emails within Microsoft’s own secure cloud – giving users access to Microsoft’s billion-dollar security budget that can far exceed the security capabilities of any organization’s own servers. Pair that with a vast list of tools designed to protect data and stop attacks before they start, and O365 is one of the most secure products on the market.

As for cost, migrating to O365 saves users money by eliminating the costs that would otherwise be associated with infrastructure, hardware, deployment, maintenance, and management, among other things. Rather than making these significant investments yourself, O365 handles all these issues for the price of a subscription. Keno Kozie is a leading provider of information technology design, service, and support for law firms and legal departments.
